Simulation to find the best risk-adjusted-return (Sharpe Ratio) portfolio. Each point represents a portfolio, made with a certain coins composition (weights).

The y-axis shows the expected return for a portfolio while the x-axis shows the volatility for it. An expected return of 1.0 means a return of 100% annually. The Expected Returns are based on historical returns so the coins on the simulation require a long price history to create relevant results.

The chart also includes the Efficient Frontier in green when more than two assets are selected. Portfolios that lie on the Efficient Frontier maximize the Expected Return for a given volatility. Every portfolio below the Efficient Frontier can be regarded as a sub-optimal portfolio; for the same volatility you are expecting less returns.

The Sharpe Ratio is the ratio of the expected return and the volatility. The highest Sharpe ratio for a given composition therefore gives the highest expected return for the least amount of volatility. This point is highlighted with a bigger size and a dark green color on the chart.

The Sortino Ratio is very similar to the sharpe ratio but only takes into account downside volatility whereas the Sharpe ratio takes into account both the up- and downside volatility.

The Sortino ratio is sometimes thought to give a better view of a portfolio’s risk-adjusted performance because positive volatility is usually considered purely a benefit. The Sharpe ratio is used more to evaluate low-volatility investment portfolios, and the Sortino ratio is used more to evaluate high volatility portfolios. The Sortino Ratio is highlighted with a bigger size and a light green color on the chart.

One of crypto’s most bizarre developments in recent memory was the creation of “Terminal of Truths” (ToT), which led to the creation of the Goatseus Maximus memecoin ($GOAT). This was more than just a memecoin though. That’s because ToT marked the beginning of a new era of AI in crypto - specifically, AI Agents.

While the origins of ToT are, uhhh, “questionable”... there’s no denying that the end result presents the space with an innovation so powerful that it could even completely reshape the entire industry.

AI Agents Are Taking Over Crypto—Are We Doomed?

 Bitcoin: MinerCap to ThermoCap Ratio 

Each time a miner successfully mines a block they are rewarded with newly issued Bitcoin, commonly referred to as the block subsidy. Miners also earn the transaction fees for all of the transactions included in the block. Together, block subsidies and transaction fees make up the miners' revenue. The all-time, cumulative miner revenue is often called the “thermocap,” and is calculated by taking the running sum of daily miner revenue in USD.

The miner capitalization is equal to the sum of balances of all mining entities multiplied by the price of that day. A mining entity is an address that receives newly issued supply or transaction fees.

The calculation for mCTC is then simply: MinerCap/ThermoCap.

 Bitcoin Stock-To-Flow Model 

The Stock to Flow (S2F) Ratio is defined as the total Bitcoin supply divided by the flow of annual newly issued Bitcoin. It assumes that since Bitcoin is a deflationary asset, its scarcity will increase the value. Since Bitcoin's future supply and issuance is reasonably predictable, we can extrapolate this model to make future price predictions.

The S2F deflection is simply the price of Bitcoin divided by the S2F price. It is then a measure of how far the S2F ratio deviates from the current price.
